Amid pandemic chaos, live events, conferences, and webinars went dark. Sephora dreamed of crafting a visually-rich digital journey, turning their real-world showcase into a virtual wonder, and embracing the metaverse with open arms.

Solution

  • Plego worked its magic for a beauty company, diving into the metaverse to create something truly special – SEPHORiA, a virtual event that promises an immersive, inspiring, and all-encompassing community experience. Picture this as the ultimate online house party, where thousands joined in for real-time fun. Attendees enjoyed live masterclasses and played interactive games to earn tokens they could redeem.
  • The application brought Sephora’s products and services to life with 3D photo-realistic interactive images. Attendees got the full 360° view in real time, creating an innovative and immersive way to boost brand awareness and pitch products.
  • Attendees explored virtual ‘rooms’ and played diverse games, earning five tokens that translated into a generous 500 points in Sephora’s Beauty Insider loyalty program.
  • The ticketed event showcased an interactive 3D ‘beauty house’, inviting attendees to venture into rooms spotlighting renowned brands like Haus Labs and Cay Skin.
  • Participants had the opportunity to engage in real-time conversations with brand founders, Sephora staff, and fellow content creators using our new live-chat system.
  • Embracing a classic video game approach, we introduced an innovative system that rewarded attendees with NFTs and Beauty Insider points for their gaming prowess across the entire event space.

Dashboard seamlessly incorporates Quick Navigation, Agenda, and Shopping, ensuring users have easy access to all their essentials.

When attendees tap the floating icon within the building, they are redirected to the Main Event where a welcoming host explains how each room and the various games work.

Foyer

Entrance hall thoughtfully designed with beauty brands in mind. It features a concierge service to enhance the user’s experience.

Concierge

The dedicated help desk section is expertly designed to assist attendees with any questions they may have. With the convenience of the floating chat icon, a small popup screen appears, enabling users to initiate a direct chat with Sephora staff for immediate assistance.

Prizes

The prize booth allows users to redeem the beauty insider points they’ve collected through games, turning their success into tangible rewards.

A simple tap on the floating icon opens up a small window where users can conveniently fill in the information required to redeem the points.

Kitchen

This section reveals gifts and products from different brands hidden behind floating icons. Sephora’s Beauty Director introduces these brands and shares insights about the event floor.

Tapping on any floating icon triggers a window showcasing various brands.

Clicking on any brand opens a video presenting the brand and its specialties, accompanied by subtitles in multiple languages.

One of the icons leads to a section where attendees can choose their country, provide necessary information, and redeem free NFTs.

Home Theater

Home Theater, where a host introduces users to this section featuring master classes from renowned beauty experts and a variety of engaging games.

Users discover a range of products from the Sephora’s collection, each expandable with a simple click, providing a direct link to shop online for users convenience.

Shopping Spree Game

One of the floating icons redirects attendees to an engaging game, displaying an instruction window for Users to get started.

An Interactive Game is designed to captivate Users, where they aim to hit the right products to earn token per successful hits.

Sun Room

This room, hosted by Sephora’s Beauty Director, highlights live-streamed clean makeup tutorials and explores Sephora’s sustainability initiatives through interactive quizzes.

The section has a beautiful ambiance and offers a quiz that opens with a simple click on the floating icon.

La Sala

A Family Room featuring various sections where talented individuals share generational beauty tips and tutorials in both English and Spanish.

The serene experience of this room, showcases a comfortable sitting area and various floating icons that expand to reveal more.

Matching Game

This section also features an intriguing matching game designed to challenge users’ beauty knowledge.

Virtual Spa

We developed Sephora’s self-care spot that covers everything from hair and skincare to wellness and fragrances. It even offers a meditation booth and a game for relaxation.

Winged Drive-Through Game

In this game, players collect credit cards and keys to unlock doors by hopping from cloud to cloud.

Backyard

Users can explore the exciting Backyard, powered by the Sephora Credit Card. This section holds delightful surprises, engaging photo experiences, and games within each letter of the name SEPHORiA displayed behind.

As an example, within one of the letters, clicking on a floating icon will open up an exciting game section.

Beauty Drops Game

In the Beauty Drops game, users can select a hole of their choice, releasing a ball that randomly targets different prize sets, adding an element of anticipation and excitement to the experience.

Achievement Unlocked

When a user collects their desired prize set, a congratulatory window pops up, rewarding the player with tokens as a token of their success

Puzzled Surprise

Within one of the letters, a surprising puzzle game awaits. Players can rearrange the missing pieces, and, upon successful completion, earn redeemable tokens as a reward.

Quick Navigation

The Quick Nav icon, conveniently located in the bottom navigation, offers a swift and easy way to explore the desired room.

Floor Plan

Users can enjoy a stunning aerial view of beautifully designed floor, allowing them to easily select their desired room.

Agenda

Users can review the scheduled event timeline, which includes program details such as on-demand content, time, location, live sessions, and games – all displayed for the convenience of users.

How-To

Users can Simply click on the How-To icon located at the bottom to access a video guide that help them eliminate any confusion.

Shop

By clicking the Shop icon, users can be redirected to Sephora’s site through a convenient hyperlink.

The number of redeemable tokens increases with each playable game. Additionally, the platform features captivating theme music for each room, enhancing the immersive experience. Users have the flexibility to turn this audio on or off as desired.

Tech-Support

Event also ensures that attendees can access technical support anytime and anywhere during their exploration for a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Admin

The admin can oversee all activities related to the event using this portal.

Dashboard

Dashboard comprises four distinct sections, each equipped with unique features for analyzing number of users, their interactions with brands, preferences, and registered locations.

Registered Users

Admin can have insights with a summary showing the number of registered users sorted by date, easily exportable to Excel, PDF formats, and ready for printing.

Login Users

This section offers admin a summary of login users categorized by country and email addresses, equipped with filter options for user selection by date and preference.

Audience Analytics

This section is further divided into three subsections, namely:

These subsections provide in-depth insights into user engagement and event metrics.

These two similar sections empowers admin to monitor logged-in users by applying various filters, such as start and end dates, time, user names, and a choice of chart types for a comprehensive view of user activity.
