Job Description
Plego is seeking multiple motivated and detail-oriented Technical Writers to work on-site near Glendale Heights, IL. The successful candidates will play a critical role in creating clear, concise, and secure technical content, reflecting our commitment to data integrity, security, and privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research industry-specific topics related to secure data transmission, document distribution, and digital solutions by combining online sources, interviews, and case studies.
- Write clear and compelling technical content to promote secure and SOC 2-compliant services, including developing case studies that highlight how risks are mitigated and compliance is ensured.
- Create well-structured drafts using tools like Google Docs and ensure all content reflects the company’s tone and messaging.
- Review technical content for accuracy, clarity, and security, particularly for blogs, marketing collateral, and industry white papers.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to select appropriate imagery and technical artwork for web content while ensuring consistency in tone, style, and branding.
- Conduct keyword research and apply SEO best practices to increase web traffic while ensuring all digital content adheres to data privacy policies.
- Regularly update website content to reflect the latest security protocols, industry compliance updates, and service offerings.
Required Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Technical Writer, Copywriter, Content Writer, or a similar role in industries that prioritize security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Portfolio showcasing technical content with a focus on secure data management, compliance, or related topics.
- Excellent research abilities using a wide range of sources.
- Strong understanding of web publications and CMS (Content Management Systems) like WordPress.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen focus on security and compliance.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and adhere to industry regulations (HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or insurance, where secure communication is critical.
- Experience in technical writing related to document distribution, digital solutions, or secure data processes.
