SQA Engineers
Plego is seeking multiple talented Software Quality Assurance Engineers (Remote) to become an integral part of our team.
This is a WFH Position. Timings are 6:30 pm – 4 am (Pakistan Standard Time) and 7:00 pm – 4:30 am (Indian Standard Time).
This role involves developing and executing scripts, monitoring and adhering to test plans, creating and implementing automated tests, collaborating with development teams, reporting results to team leads and taking the lead in reporting testing results in client status updates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of testing and participating in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Ensure that all test items adhere to established change management processes and are tested and tracked using the provided test management software.
- Review and validate requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop and execute test plans and detailed test cases based on requirements and/or customer conversations.
- Document results and provide observations or suggestions for improvements after analyzing test results and overall product quality.
- Leverage appropriate technical tools, such as SQL and Postman, to support your testing and assist with the validation of back-end technical system functions, including calculated values, interface tables and API calls
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic SQL queries and a fundamental understanding of databases.
- Collaborate with the development team on bug fix verification and validation through regression testing.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Perform End-to-End testing on web and mobile applications.
- Exhibit familiarity with Agile Software Development Methodologies.
- Be a team player and a self-starter, working alongside the development team.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Possess the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience working with query, requirements/configuration management and defect tracking tools such as TFS, JIRA or Trello.
- Experience with test tools like Postman, Selenium or Cypress.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
- 2 to 3 years of experience.
- The ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to stay current with the constantly changing technology industry.
- A passion for testing, development and design.
