Full Stack Developer (Remote)
Plego is seeking multiple AI-driven Senior Full Stack Developers (Remote) to take full ownership of modern web builds, polished front ends, secure back ends, smart integrations, and CMS powered experiences, including WordPress backend development.
This is a WFH position. Timings: 6:30 pm to 4:00 am (Pakistan Standard Time)
If you have 5+ years of experience and strong hands-on skills across modern JavaScript stacks (React, Node.js, TypeScript), plus confidence with databases, APIs, WordPress, and cloud deployments, we want to talk. Bonus points if you have exposure to AI/ML features, LLM integrations, or automation in real products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build full stack web applications using modern frameworks and clean architecture principles
- Develop secure, high-performance back-end services using Node.js (Nest.js/Express.js) and TypeScript
- Create responsive, scalable front-end interfaces using React.js / Next.js (or similar)
- Build and maintain REST APIs (GraphQL is a plus), and write clean API contracts using Swagger/OpenAPI
- Work with WordPress backend (custom themes/plugins, REST API integrations, headless WordPress setups)
- Integrate third-party systems like payment gateways, CRMs, CMS tools, and eCommerce platforms
- Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and security best practices (SSL/TLS, OWASP)
- Design and optimize databases (schema design, indexing, query tuning) using MySQL and MongoDB
- Run diagnostics, fix defects, support deployments, and improve stability and performance
- Stay current with modern full stack trends including cloud patterns, AI tools, and developer productivity upgrades
- AI/ML exposure: integrating LLMs (OpenAI style APIs), prompt workflows, embeddings, vector search, AI agents, AI automation
- Cloud experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, EC2, CloudWatch) or equivalent on Azure/GCP
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, etc.)
- Headless CMS experience such as Contentful, Strapi, Sanity (or similar)
- Experience with eCommerce tools (Shopify, WooCommerce, custom carts, payment APIs)
- Exposure to real-time systems (WebSockets, queues, background jobs)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent practical experience)
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience as a full stack developer
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web fundamentals
- Solid experience with React/Next.js and Node.js (Nest.js/Express.js)
- Hands-on experience with WordPress backend development (customization, plugin/theme work, API integration)
- Strong understanding of web architecture, databases, API design, and security standards
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Must be fluent in English communication
